Dr. Clayton McReynolds

SPACE Preceptor
Clayton McReynolds earned his PhD in English literature from Baylor University in 2021. His dissertation asked why novels can feel so real to us as we read, approaching this question through the lens of phenomenology. It focused on close readings of Robinson Crusoe, Jude the Obscure, and Middlemarch. Clayton's research has been published in the Journal of Inklings Studies and the Dickens Studies Annual. Clayton is also an avid reader and writer of both literary and speculative fiction and enjoys blogging about scifi and fantasy and phenomenology. He lives in Denver with his wife Holly and their cat Athena (who is less wise than her name implies). [see full bio...]
