David Trimboli began learning Klingon back in the 1990s and has been involved with it ever since. He has served as a Grammarian for the Klingon Language Institute and has been involved in various translation projects, including short stories, comic books, and Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, as well as editing the KLI’s literary journal, jatmey. He spends far too much time arguing with other Klingonists about the ineffable finer points of the language and helping students learn the warrior’s tongue, and he has been known to translate and even compose Klingon poetry. When not speaking gutturally, he works in IT and plays the French horn. He is fascinated by language, linguistics, and all things Tolkien. He has a wife, two children, a cat, and a dog, and none of them want to learn Klingon.
