Exploring a great Tolkien adaptation: The Lord of the Rings Online
On Friday afternoons at 1 PM ET, Prof. Corey Olsen plays through The Lord of the Rings Online, streaming on the game's official Twitch channel (twitch.tv/lotrostream). During the streams (quests allowing!), Prof. Olsen answers whatever random Tolkien lore question you might have. If you would like to have a question answered, post it in the discussion board below.
AI offers a version of Sir Griflet of Arthurian legend which can be adapted to Gryfflet in LotRO's Middle-earth.
"By using Gryfflet, the Tolkien Professor establishes a bridge between the audience and the impossibly high fantasy of the Lord of the Rings Online's Middle-earth. Through his eyes, viewers witness the everyday realities of burglarhood, the grueling realities of war, and the profound tragedy of Middle-earth's fall, reminding us that even in a world of magic and destiny, the backbone of the realm relies entirely on human and hobbit burglarious effort."
